Nifty, Nifty Bank, Sensex finish day at record closing highs
The Nifty finishes the day with a gain of 217 points or 1.1 per cent at 19,189.1 and the Sensex adds 803.1 points or 1.3 per cent for the day to settle at 64,718.6 — their highest closing levels ever. The Nifty Bank rises 419.6 points or one per cent to end at a record 44,747.4.

As the Nifty entered a new monthly derivative (futures and options) series on June 30, Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi highlighted that the July series usually brings highly positive moves. However, there's a catch. The Nifty has not clocked positive moves for no four back-to-back monthly series in the past two years, and it has ended all three of the April, May and June series with gains, the market wizard pointed out.
"If it happens this time around, which is likely given a few favourable conditions, it will be the first set of four consecutive series of gains... The market is on a strong footing," he said. Read more

It seems Dalal Street has got its mojo back, as the market is on a record-setting spree. The headline indices, the S&P BSE Sensex and NSE's Nifty scaled fresh peaks on Friday (June 30) after surpassing previous all-time highs in the previous session. During the day, the S&P BSE Sensex breached the crucial 64,500 mark to hit a record high of 64,519.89. The NSE's Nifty crossed the 19,100 level to a new high of 19,138.35.

Nifty50
According to Zee Business Research, July has been the best month for the 50-share index of the NSE. Nifty's average return during the month of July stood at 3.2 per cent over the years. The index's best performance has been in September (3.7 per cent), but it has closed in the red zone seven times in September in the last 20 years. On the other hand, Nifty has given positive returns during the window (20 years) 16 times in July. Since 2014, the Nifty has closed in the red just once in the month of July.
Bank Nifty
For Bank Nifty, too, July has been the strongest month, as per Zee Business Research data. On average, during the month of July, the index has given 4 per cent returns. Read more
